Orchestrated by Salumeria 104, Midtown Oyster Bar and MB America’s teams, the second annual “Flying with the Stars” two-night event will be held on Wednesday November 11th and Thursday November 12th at 93 Palm, a.k.a. Al Capone’s former mansion. Sponsored by American Airlines, each night’s wine-paired six-course menu is curated by Milan-based and “Michelin star-caliber” Italian chefs Luigi Taglienti, Alberto Buratti and Claudio Francesco Ceriotti, in collaboration with Chef Angelo Masarin of Salumeria 104 and Midtown Oyster Bar. A limited number of tickets are available for purchase now at $250 per person here.
Welcomed at the private beach of the historic waterfront Al Capone villa, recently restored by MB America, with oysters and champagne one evening and inventive amuse-bouches the following night, guests will be served a once-in-a-lifetime wine-paired six-course dinner, the artistic result of collaborating chefs from Miami and Milan. Chefs Buratti, Ceriotti and Taglienti will be flown to Miami by American Airlines especially for the occasion to support Miami Children’s Health Foundation by donating their time, culinary expertise and recognition.
“Our intention was to encapsulate the current forward-thinking gastronomic revolution happening in Italy with the participation of extremely talented chefs and to showcase it to Miami’s philanthropist community,” explains Carlo Donadoni, President of Spuntino Catering, co-owner of Salumeria 104 and Midtown Oyster Bar, and the maestro behind “Flying with the Stars”. “The first evening will focus on Midtown Oyster Bar’s sea-based menu, revisited by our Italian guest chefs, while the second evening’s menu will focus on Salumeria 104’s land-based concept.”
“At MB America, we are committed to making a difference to the communities in which we operate,” says Marco Bruzzi, co-founder and CEO of MB America. “We are delighted to co-organize and contribute to this noble initiative with one of our properties: the Al Capone’s mansion, and the participation of Michelin-starred Chef Taglienti, who recently joined our team. In doing so, we will hopefully, raise awareness and money for Miami Children’s Health Foundation and its worthwhile cause.”
