Trek6, chosen in 2013 by the New Times as “Best of Miami” Street Artist, is a “Miami mural legend” whose iconic image of a colorful and gigantic boombox has become one of the symbols of the emerging Wynwood Arts District. One of the pioneers of the Wynwood art scene, he also did a mural at the brewery of an effervescent life-size beer glass with Puerto Rican ‘taino’ symbols in honor of the island’s roots for both him and the WBCo. owners - the Brignonis.
The Brignonis wanted to exhibit an artist known for his pioneer work in the area in honor of the art conferences in Miami and as part of the brewery’s celebration of the 1st Anniversary of the Tap Room happening also during the Art Basel weekend in December. “For us the Artist "Pop-Up" Exhibits in the Tap Room are an opportunity to not only showcase the burgeoning Wynwood art scene, but also a way to demonstrate our commitment to the area.” said WBCo.’s founder Luis Brignoni.
Trek6’s work will be up at the WBCo’s Tap Room located at 565 NW 24th Street and it can be viewed during normal business hours. The exhibit will be up through the first week of December.
