Who doesn't love ice cream? If you don’t like ice cream then maybe you go for frozen yogurt, and that’s cool. Lately, there has been a rise in nitrogen ice cream. In this form of making ice cream they use liquid nitrogen to flash-freeze the cream base, and then they add all the delicious ingredients you want in your ice cream. Pure heaven.
Last year, Doral Councilwoman Christi Fraga and her husband opened Brain Freeze in Doral. Knowing that Doral is up-and-coming with new spots to eat this was a pretty solid location. When you walk into the ice cream shop you immediately notice the smoke from the nitrogen as the employees behind the counter, wearing lab coats of course, are mixing up the all the ingredients to make the perfect ice cream.
Let’s talk flavors. A few weeks ago Foodie Tribe was invited to try out some of their delicious flavors, and give our opinion on some of our favorite picks! My personal favorite is the Cubanito, which comes mixed with Maria cookies, guava, and, of course, a syringe with condensed milk. Need I say more?
For those of you who are chocolate lovers then you must order the Nutella OMG. This ice cream base is mixed with nutella from the very beginning. You really can’t go wrong with this flavor!
