Last month Omertà Cucina and Theatre Bar opened its doors to Miami bringing flavor and fun to the Doral area. When you first drive into the shopping center where Omertà is you immediately notice that in front of the restaurant are hostesses dressed as flappers. That is because the concept behind the Omertà is all about taking us back into the prohibition era with vintage décor, staff dressed as flappers, while serving delicious tapas-style food.
The dishes they are serving include ingredients and flavors from the Mediterranean, Asia and Latin America. For your appetizer I highly recommend you order the patatas bravas and the brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts are baked to perfection and topped off with hazelnuts for the perfect crunch.
For your entrée the chef highly recommends either the rib eye steak or the ravioli. I also tried the lamb, which not only came beautifully presented, but was also absolutely delicious.
Not to mention, that while you are enjoying the food that talented executive chef Hernando Cely has prepared for you, you could either be listening to a local saxophone player or even a comedy show at their “micro-theater,” which is situated at the front of the restaurant.
So bring your family and friends for what is for sure guaranteed to be a fun and eventful night at Omertà!
