I don’t normally talk too much about Midtown, but there are some pretty awesome spots that you have to check out. Whether you are in the mood for some pizza, or home-style Italian cooking – Midtown’s food scene will make your taste buds happy.

Proof Pizza & Pasta
1930 Bay Rd. | Miami Beach, FL 33139

What you are ordering: I am all about white pizza, and Proof’s version is delicious. It comes with mozzarella, ricotta and some Parmesan. Special note here: Make sure to save room for dessert, you’ll be upset if you don't.

Prohibition Restaurant and Speakeasy
3404 N Miami Ave. | Miami, FL 33127
What you need to order:
Without a doubt order the truffle lobster mac & cheese small plate – you won't regret this decision. Well, maybe only that you didn't order one for just you. Also, the shrimp chorizo is on point, plus it’s served with tostones.

Bocce
3252 NE 1st Ave #107. | Miami, FL 33137
What you need to order:
Here you order some pasta. Some great options are the ravioli di barbabietola (filled with goat cheese) and the branzino, which is served with herbed breadcrumbs and an orange puree.

Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill
3252 NE 1st Ave. | Miami, FL 33137
What you need to order:
I am all about tapas – get a little bit of everything. Here I am loving the duck & waffle, goat cheese croquettes, brussels sprouts, and the bacon wrapped dates. You can’t go wrong here. Plus, Chef Timon Balloo is a friend!

Riviera Focacceria Italiana
3252 NE 1st Ave. | Miami, FL 33127
What you need to order:
I personally love pesto, and their mandilli di seta al pesto dish is out of this world delicious. Made with homemade pesto sauce this dish has just the right amount of sweet basil, pine nuts, a touch of garlic, and some extra virgin olive oil – plus, you can't forget the parmigiano cheese.

Gigi
3470 N Miami Ave. | Miami, FL 33127
What you need to order:
I highly recommend the bbq brisket bun, which comes with a delicious spicy aioli sauce. And you have to pair with their cornbread, and a side of honey bacon butter. Oh yea.

Angelina’s Coffee & Juice
3451 NE 1st Ave #102B. | Miami, FL 33137
What you need to order:
The Marie salad here is just perfect. It comes stacked with spinach, bacon, sliced egg, tomatoes, cucumber, and topped with balsamic vinaigrette.
