The thing that I really love about my city is that there is something for everyone. Whether you want to ring in the New Year in one of the hottest clubs in South Beach, or you just want to enjoy a delicious meal with family and friends – Miami has it all. And I have put together a few spots you should check out depending on how you want to welcome 2015!
For those who are looking for something free and for the whole family.
Here the party starts at 8 p.m., and the festivities include a dance party with Funky Frank, fireworks and a countdown to midnight with “The Big Orange” ascending to the top of the adjacent InterContinental Miami hotel.
If you want to head over to the beach then go to Lummus Park on 8th St. and Ocean Drive where the party starts at 9 p.m., and will include live music and fireworks at midnight. Plus there are tons of spots to grab a beer, or three along, the way!
For those of you who are foodies like me.
You know that Miami’s restaurants are stepping up their game for New Year’s Eve, and for those of you who want to end the year eating some delicious food you have so many options. Keep in mind that most of the restaurants below offer two seatings. One is going to be around 6:30 – 7 p.m., and another will be around 9 p.m. The later seating is always more expensive because it usually includes a champagne toast and a few other festivities.
If you are looking to check out restaurants in Miami hotels then you should look into: Michael Mina 74, Gotham Steak, Scarpeta, DB Bistro Moderne, and Zuma.
If you would rather stay away from the hotel scene then you should look into: The Federal Food, Drinks & Provisions, The Rusty Pelican, The Meat Market, or the Biltmore’s New Year’s Eve 2014 Gala, which should be spectacular.

For those of you who would rather just drink and get rowdy.
Let’s be honest, Miami is so known for its parties, so get ready for some pretty epic bashes.
Nikki Beach Miami
Peace, Love & Music
Who doesn't love Nikki Beach? For the 31st they are hosting a vintage-inspired soiree with food by Chef Brain Molloy, live entertainment, party favors, and your very own private fireworks display – with a champagne toast, of course. For those of you who want to reserve your spot click here.
Miami Nice 2015 New Year’s Day Winter White Yacht Party
I have done this before – rang in the New Year on a yacht. It’s pretty awesome. Celebrate the first night of the New Year on a four-leveled yacht with VIP areas for bottle service, eight flat-screen TV’s, an open air promenade, music by DJs Prince and Snap, and complimentary light buffet. You can’t get more epic then that. For tickets click here.
Clevelander South Beach
You are always guaranteed an epic party at the Clevelander for New Year’s Eve. This year their theme is a futuristic wonderland. What does that mean, you ask? Well essentially they will have sexy LED robots and crazy light displays. Weird, crazy and epic all at once. For tickets click here.

*P.S. Keep in mind, when you wake up a bit hungover on January 1st that many restaurants will be hosting brunch. Just what you need to get your year started on the right foot!
