7 Miami BBQ Spots You Have To Try

I am a BBQ kind of girl. I am that girl who asks for extra sides of BBQ sauce to put on absolutely anything and everything at restaurants, and even at home. This being the case I have been to many BBQ joints in Miami, and can tell you a thing or two about what you should be ordering.
Warning – you will get hungry after reading this post!

Pride and Joy BBQ
2800 N Miami Ave. | Miami, FL 33127

What you should be eating: For an appetizer the bowl o’ burnt ends is an absolute must. Hands down. If you are with a party of 4 or more than you have to get the BBQ board, which comes with everything your little heart could dream of – full rack of St. Louis and baby back ribs, ½ BBQ chicken, ½ lb. of brisket, ½ lb. of pulled pork, their delicious cornbread, PLUS two sides.

Brother Jimmy’s
900 S Miami Ave. | Miami, FL 33130

What you should be eating: Their nachos are legit – packed sky high with goodness, with your choice of pulled pork, chicken or brisket to top it off. Then you have to get their southern style ribs, which are smoked with Brother Jimmy’s Memphis-style rub.

Swine Southern Table & Bar
2415 Ponce De Leon Blvd. | Coral Gables, FL 33134

What you should be eating: Swine’s devil eggs are award winning, you have to order them for an appetizer. And for the main meal you are trying the swine burger. This thing is epic. It has short rib, brisket, smoked pork blend homemade dill pickle, thick-cut house-smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, American cheese, and their special sauce. My advice? Be close to a bed for nap time.

Sparky’s Roadside BBQ
204 NE 1st Street | Miami, FL 33131

What you are eating: The pulled pork at Sparky’s is out of this world. You are going to get that with your choice of two sides, which I would recommend you order the sweet potato mash and the fries (which are perfectly crunchy).

Uncle Tom’s BBQ
3988 SW 8th Street | Miami, FL 33134

What you are eating: This place goes back to 1948 so you can rest assured that they know what they are doing when it comes to BBQ. If you are into brisket then this is the place for you. Did I mention you can get a side of Texas toast? Oh, plus chili cheese fries – if you’re into that sorta thing.

Bulldog Barbecue & Burger
15400 Biscayne Blvd. | North Miami, FL 33160

What you are eating: This place is insane. So many mouthwatering options. But if I were you I would stick with the either their biscuits – like their BBQ sandwich, which has your choice of pulled pork, brisket or pulled chicken and Carolina slaw. Or you could always get their honkey tonk woman burger, which has pulled pork, cheddar cheese, fried pickles, cole slaw, and their house sauce. Boom!

Shorty’s Bar-B-Q
9200 S Dixie Hwy | Miami, FL 33156

What you are eating: Shorty’s is a Miami institution. Here you are eating either their ribs or their brisket or both. And as far as sides go, you must get their garlic bread. No ifs, ands or buts.
