Let’s be real, we haven’t been eating that well lately, am I right? Let’s get back into the shape of things and get ready for Spring Break 2016 together! Here are a few options when it comes the latest workout trends, as well as some yummy foodie spots to check out for healthier options!

As far as getting your workout on here are some of my favorite Miami studios.

2399 Collins Ave. | Miami Beach, FL 33139

Before I started to seriously Crossfit I was an avid spinner - at LA Fitness that is. I would go 4-5 times a week, and it’s still such a great form of exercise for me when I am feeling like I need more cardio in my life. But, now there is SoulCycle. The perfect studio for all spinners, whether you are a beginner or a pro, you will fit right in. I have attended a few classes and I can tell you that I love all the instructors, and their music is on point! Plus, they have themes for different days, which keeps the class fresh and exciting every time.

121 SE 2ND Ave. | Miami, FL 33131

I am going to be completely honest with you, this was one of the hardest classes I have ever taken. I took a demo the other day that was 35 minutes long, classes are usually 50 minutes, and it was the toughest workout I have taken. The 50-minute, intense total-body workout, done on the MegaFormer, uses slow and controlled movements with constant tension to work your slow-twitch muscle fibers to failure. With hundreds of moves and resistance options, every class is different so you will never get bored. Additionally, because of the versatility of the exercises and the tension, your body won’t plateau, which happens often with other workouts. It’s intense and wonderful at the same time! Want 20% off your first class? Of course, you do! Use the code "BLOG20" at checkout and you are set! (offer expires 2/8/16)

Crossfit Soul
2900 SW 69th Ct. | Miami, FL 33155

By now you should all know that I am a diehard Crossfit fan, and most importantly extremely loyal to my “box,” CrossFit Soul, which I have been working out at for the last four and a half years. Crossfit is a full body workout. It’s an hour long that involves weightlifting, the WOD (workout of the day), core work, and stretching. Everyday is different, and therefore, keeping it exciting.

What you eat is just as important! Here are a few spots I like to hit when I am in the dieting mood.

Dr. Smood
2230 NW 2nd Ave. | Miami, FL 3312
With two locations there is no excuse to check out the latest foodie spot, Dr. Smood. These guys are focused on being one hundred percent organic, to inform customers about both the nutrients in their products, and also explain how the specific foods and juices can influence your health and your mood. The coolest part about their concept is they have everything color coded depending on your “mood.” Whether you are feeling like you need some beauty or immunity in your life they have you covered! You must try the organic quinoa salad.

232 5th St. | Miami Beach, FL 33139

DIRT is focused on bringing “fine food fast” to South Beach. They are a farm-to-counter eatery that is offering healthy, chef-driven, modern American fare to Miami. Even though you may you look at my Instagram feed and not believe me - I am actually pretty health-conscious. DIRT is catering to those consumers who are into feeding their body the good stuff - locally-sourced, vegetable-forward and in a fast pace environment.  My favorite dish is the Crispy Fish Po’Boy. So incredibly amazing I wish I could eat it everyday. This quinoa-crusted day boat fish is absolutely perfect when mixed with the flavors of the zucchini jalapeño slaw and Greek yogurt remoulade.
