Besides eating food I really do enjoy a nice glass of wine. Whether it’s a cold “wintery” night in Miami and I am in the mood for a Cabernet, or maybe I want something a bit fruitier – Miami definitely has some awesome options when it comes to wine bars. What’s even better is all these wine bars have a really nice food menu too!
Uvaggio Wine Bar

You guys have heard me talk a bit about Uvaggio, the newest wine bar to hit the Miami scene. This cozy, intimate wine bar is perfect for those who are looking to take that special someone on a date, or even if you are just looking for a night out with your girlfriends. The coolest part of Uvaggio’s concept is they pride themselves with pairing each of their dishes with the perfect wine, so it is guaranteed you will be drinking all night long.

I have known about Happy Wine forever. Not only do they have a large variety of wines to choose from they have a great menu of food. Not to mention that you can eat their world famous paella every Friday at their Coconut Grove location, and every Saturday at their Calle Ocho location. This stuff is good. Oh, and did I mention that Monday through Wednesday it’s “Champagne Afternoons,” – from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. a glass is $5, and from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. it’s $6. Can’t get better than that.

This one has to be my favorite. Lagniappe is truly magical. You walk into a small set up where you see a chalkboard with the daily food and wine specials, and more than likely on the left-hand side there is a band playing (they have live music every night). After you order your food and get your bottle of wine, which by the way they have over 150 wine and beers to choose from; you go outside to sit on the patio which is filled with hanging lights. Now all you need is good company and you are all set.

If you drive too fast down Calle Ocho you will miss this Little Havana gem. I went for the first time for Mitch & Mel’s blogaversary party and it was love at first sight. You walk in and you immediately notice the hundreds of wine bottles that line the restaurant. If I were you, I would order a glass of red wine and order their table mixta plate, which comes with mixed meats and cheeses. Truly a heavenly experience. Perfect for a date or a birthday party with friends.

Now, if you are in The Shops of Midtown Miami shopping the night away and all of a sudden you realize you are in dire need of a glass of wine and some delicious flatbread (I would go for their prosciutto, but that’s just me) – then you are stopping by the Wine Vault. Not only do they have a great selection of wine, but they also have beer for that man in your life.
