This summer has been pretty brutal when it comes to the heat and humidity, and sometimes it makes it unbearable just to even step outside. This Labor Day weekend is no different, so I want to give you a few things you can do without melting away!
Terrace at Verde
1103 Biscayne Blvd. | Miami, FL 33132
Verde at the Perez Art Museum Miami is the perfect escape from this intense summer heat with its shaded terrace and refreshing cocktails and fare. The breezy terrace overlooks the picturesque Biscayne Bay where you can eat and enjoy refreshing drinks like the Guava Margarita and Passionfruit Caipirinha. For light bites, dishes like the Wahoo Ceviche and Bigeye Tuna Tartare are sure to keep you cool.
And, it turns out that PAMM will open to the public on Monday, September 7 for a Labor Day Picnic and BBQ celebration on the terrace! They will have live music by indie funk group Magic City Hippies and barbecue specials including burgers, hot dogs, kettle chips and brownies. They will also be offering drink specials, including rum punch and mixed drinks for $9 each and wine, beer, soft drinks and lemonade for $6 each.
Delano Beach Club
1685 Collins Ave. | Miami Beach, FL 33139
Who doesn’t love the Delano? The Delano Beach Club is the best place to catch the ocean breeze while relaxing in a cabana or on a chaise. Enjoy poolside spa services from agua while sipping on refreshing cocktails such as the DBC Mango Daiquiri or the Strawberry Mojitio. They have also just introduced their new menu. Featuring one of its new frozen drinks, the Beach Club Passion cocktail is made with Malibu Passion, Blood Orange, and Passion Fruit, and pairs well with the heavenly Frozen Fruit Platter.
Pool Bar at The Continental
2360 Collins Ave, Miami, FL 33139
The Continental Miami offers bar seating by the pool, the perfect breezy spot to enjoy a unique Miami-inspired cocktail. Beat the heat by sipping on tropical drinks such as La Florida Daiquiri and Melolo Swizzle. Dishes like Tuna Tataki, Rad Na and Beet Carpaccio are sure to satisfy your hunger and complement the chilled cocktails.
Cascade at the Biltmore
1200 Anastasia Ave, Coral Gables, FL 33134
This poolside restaurant is definitely one of my favorites in Miami. You can rewind and refuel while sipping on some pretty delicious cocktails underneath their cascading waterfall. Plus, you are overlooking the pool! I personally love the cascade salad, and if you have to pair it with one of their refreshing cocktails. My suggestion? The Flor Champagne Mojito is my pick.
You know where this is!
There isn’t too much to say about this location because I am pretty sure you all know where this spot is, but who can resist the beach when you have a three day weekend?
