Let me ask you a honest question - who doesn't love Miami Spice Month? Throughout the months of August and September you are able to enjoy delectable menus at some pretty awesome Miami restaurants for a fraction of the price. How can you say no? Check out a few of my favorite restaurants who are participating this year.

db Bistro Moderne Miami
255 Biscayne Blvd. Way | Miami, FL 33131

On a bi-weekly basis, the Miami Spice menu will change to showcase a mixture of traditional French bistro cooking and contemporary American flavors. During the first two weeks, dishes include Short Rib Ravioli with horseradish, hen of the woods & English peas, Grilled Swordfish with tomato, potato causa & achiote, Coq au Vin with pearl onions, bacon, spätzle & mixed mushrooms, and the New York Strip Steak with fingerling potato, creamed spinach and shallot. For dessert decadent options include the Key Lime Brûlée with blueberry, Italian meringue, ginger cake blueberry and violet sorbet and the Dark Chocolate Pave with peppermint chocolate mousse, chocolate biscuit coffee & cardamom ice cream.

Villa Azur

To kickoff Miami Spice, Villa Azur has introduced its first of four delicious Miami Spice menus, consisting of three-course meals prepared by Chef Erwin Mallet and Pastry Chef Sébastien Feneyrol for $39. Beginning August 1, guests can kick-start their Miami Spice experience with an appetizer of choice: Burratina and Fresh Heirloom Tomatoes with organic olive oil or Truffle Asparagus Tart and Confit Tomatoes. Diners can then choose from Suprême de Volaille with mushroom cannelloni and rosemary juice or a Pan Seared Red Snapper with mango dressing, mint quinoa and popcorn shoots as their main course. A delectable Chocolat Bahibe Panna Cotta and Exotique Confit will be offered as dessert to complete the meal. Prime Fish

Beginning August 1, guests can indulge in an extravagant three-course meal for $39. Appetizers include Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho with Alaskan King Crab, Hawaiian Big Eye Tuna Tartar with avocado, spice mayo and cassava crackers, and Petrossian Smoked Salmon with Johnny Cake and Chive Crème Fraiche. Diners can than choose from a Seafood Caliente dish served with new potatoes, corn on the cobb and grilled bread with the option to add a Main Lobster Tail for an extra $20, Pan Seared Branzino with orange braised fennel and aji Amarillo puree, or a Spicy Vietnamese Skirt Steak with Asian sprout salad, roasted peanuts and basil and sriracha mayo as their main entrée. A delicious Trio of House Made Cupcakes will be offered as well as Ice Cream or Sorbet to complete the meal. Miami’s newest restaurant, Byblos, brings the exciting flavors of the Eastern Mediterranean to South Florida’s Miami Spice program. Beginning August 1, guests can experience the worldly Miami Spice dinner menu by sharing a choice of three mezze options, including Maltese Spice Olives, Roasted Local Beets, Duck or Eggplant Kibbeh, Salmon Kibbeh Nayeh, Steak Tartare, Fresh Crispy Squid, Midye Tava, Lamb Ribs or a Fig Salad. Following their appetizer, guests have the choice of one entrée, including a Roasted Snapper with Chraimeh Sauce and House Yoghurt, Turkish Coffee Rubbed Steak with Za’atar Butter and Creamed Moutabel, Turkish Manti Dumplings with Smokey Eggplant, Yogurt Sauce and Molasses, a Chargrilled Hen served with Sabzi Sauce, Toum and Fried Leak, or a Maitake Mushroom Pide topped with Biber Chile, Goat Cheese and Parsley. Additionally, each entrée comes with the choice of one vegetable or starch side, including Mejadra, Thrice-Cooked Chips, Green Beans, Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Persian Fried Rice, or Hand Rolled Couscous. For dessert, guests can indulge in a choice of Pizzelle Baklava, Yogurt Mousse Pistachio or Chocolate Mousse.

Dolce Italian

Dolce Italian, the winner of Bravo’s “Best New Restaurant”, has introduced a four-course and seven dish, family style Miami Spice menu. Beginning August 1, guests can kick-start their Miami Spice experience at the modern, Italian restaurant with family style dishes for $39. Guests can begin their sharing experience with a Margherita Pizza, followed by antipasti including a Grilled Octopus dish and an Heirloom Tomato Salad. Main entrées include Lemon Risotto with gulf shrimp and basil pesto and Ricotta Ravioli served with eggplant at funghetto, smoked mozzarella and cherry tomato sauce. A delectable Blueberry Cheesecake and Tiramisu will be offered as dessert to complete the meal. Guests can also enjoy a glass of Prosecco and one glass of red or white house wine for an additional $18.

Morimoto South Beach

Morimoto South Beach brings the excitement of its innovative Japanese cuisine to its first biweekly Miami Spice menus. The first round of menus will be available August 1-16 and September 1-13 and include a lunch and dinner menu. Guests can enjoy a three-course meal for lunch (12 p.m. – 3 p.m.) that starts off with a Mizuna Salad, followed by the choice of a Wagyu Burger, Mori Cristo, Kakuni or a Sushi Tasting, followed by a Tofu Cheesecake served with kuromitsu cream and blueberry white chocolate sorbet. Dinner menu appetizers include Hamachi Tacos, Mizuna Salad, Tempura Calamari Salad and a Sushi Tasting consisting of chef’s selection of fresh nigiri and maki. Guests can then choose from a selection of four main dishes, including a Braised Black Cod, Morimoto Pork Chop with Applesauce, Seafood Toban Yaki consisting of assorted seafood served in red miso sake broth, or Ishi Yaki Buri Bop, a delicious yellowtail served on rice cooked at your table in a hot stone bowl. A Tofu Cheesecake will be offered for dessert.
 
The second round of menus will be available August 17-31 and September 14-30. Guests can enjoy a Mizuna Salad, followed by a choice of Momo Cubano, a Lobster Roll served with miso mayo, gruyere cheese on brioche bread, Soy Braised Black Cod or a Sushi Tasting. Tofu Cheesecake will be served for dessert. Dinner menu starters include Chef’s signature Tuna Pizza and Rock Shrimp Tempura, as well as a Mizuna Salad and Sushi Tasting. Guests can then choose between four entrée dishes, including Braised Black Cod, Angry Chicken, consisting of a marinated organic half chicken with roasted peppers, a Crispy Whole Fish or Ishi Yaki Wagyu Bop. Enjoy Tofu Cheesecake for dessert to complete the meal.

Touché Rooftop Lounge and Restaurant

Downtown Miami’s rooftop Italian restaurant is featuring a four-course dinner for Miami Spice. Guests are offered a choice of one appetizer, pasta, entrée, and dessert for $39.99 per person. Savory dish options include Polpette Tradizionale; traditional beef, veal and pork meatballs served in fresh tomatoes & basil sauce, Linguini Alle Vongole Veraci, linguini in manila clams, extra virgin olive oil and white wine sauce; and Pollo Scarpariello, oven roasted half chicken, topped with sautéed red and yellow bell peppers, hot & sweet Italian sausage and hot cherry peppers.  To sweeten the night, desserts such as Ricotta Cheesecake, classic Italian ricotta cheesecake with mix berries compote and Apple Tart, classic apple pie with French vanilla gelato and caramel sauce will be available. Three course lunch and dinner prix fixe menus will be available throughout for $23 and $39 respectively. The menu features some of Terrazza's favorite signature authentic Italian dishes including Heirloom Tomato Salad with watermelon, baby arugula, blue cheese, cilantro and aged balsamic; Squid Ink Pasta in a San Marzano pomodoro sauce with baby octopus and Pomegranate Panna Cotta with mixed berries for dessert.

Red Ginger

Menin Hospitality’s newest culinary destination in SoFi, Red Ginger, is featuring a Japanese inspired three-course dinner during Miami Spice.  Beginning August 1 through September 30, guests are offered a choice of one izakaya option, one main dish, and a dessert for $39 per person with beverage options for an additional $8 that includes a pinot grigio, pinot noir or cava.  Izakaya or small plate choices include the Miso Eggplant, bonito, sesame; Chicken Meatballs, sansho-ko, micro chives; and El Mar Ceviche, tuna, salmon, octopus, wahoo, aji limo, with mains such as the Miso Sea Bass, saikyo miso, spinach, coconut foam, garlic confit or Sushi or Sashimi Combo, hamachi, tuna, salmon, tomago.  To end the night, guests will be served a delectable mochi dessert. This spot is one of my personal favorite spots in Miami, plus the view ain’t too bad either! They are serving up Cebiche Criollo Calamari with shrimp, yellowtail snapper, cancha, ají amarillo pepper leche de tigre; Tallarin Verdes Pesto noodles with beef milanesa and egg; and Peruvian Chocolate Mousse Caramelized quinoa and lucuma bomb.

Ortanique on the Mile

Cindy Hutson’s Ortanique is truly a Coral Gables gem. For Miami Spice she is serving up Bahamian Conch Ceviche, Banana Leaf Steamed Fish and Mango Tres Leche.

Pubbelly

Who doesn't love Pubbelly. Their menu for Miami Spice is to die for. Some of my personal favorites are: Dates avec Chorizo with goat cream, bacon, spicy tomato, Pork Meatballs soft polenta, spicy tomato jus, shiso ricotta and Short rib & Corn black truffle, corn soy, sorrel,parmesan.

SUSHISAMBA Coral Gables

SUSHISAMBA’s menu is full of delicious flavor. You should try plates like their Grilled Octopus with chorizo, castelvetrano olive, confit potato, aji panca emulsion; the Chef’s Sushi Plate sushi nigiri assortment, SAMBA ARANHA ROLL crispy soft shell crab, avocado, kaiware, swiss chard, balsamic-sesame sauce; and, the Chocolate Banana Cake maple butter, plantain chip, vanilla rum ice cream.

SUSHISAMBA Miami Beach

For those of you who are closer to the beach then check out this location. They are offering Lobster Steamed Buns with squid ink-infused house-made steamed bun, lemongrass Maine lobster salad, pickled radish, yuzu; Wagyu Skirt Steak nipon style marinated wagyu skirt steak, huancaína-yuca purée, roasted aji limo salsa; and Mochi soft Japanese rice cake filled with ice cream.

The Federal

The Federal’s food is always on point, and for Miami Spice they are sure not to disappoint you. How can they when they are serving BQ’d Deviled Eggs with smoked pulled pork shoulder, pickled serrano, creamy horsera dish; Surf & Turf Jambalaya risotto style fregola, gulf seafood, smoked chicken, andouille sausage, saffron cream, roasted tomatoes; and Chef’s Choice Dessert changes daily based on chef’s whim.

The Forge 
432 W 41st St. | Miami Beach, FL 33140

What better way to experience The Forge and all this restaurant has to offer if not during Miami Spice Month? They are serving Fluke Tartare with avocado, black sesame, yuzu crème fraiche, tomato water; 6oz Filet Mignon parsnip puree, swiss chard, mushroom madeira sauce; and a Chocolate Molten Cake raspberry sauce, vanilla ice cream, cocoa soil.

SUGARCANE Raw Bar & Grill
3252 NE 1st Ave. | Miami, FL 33137

Chef Timon Balloo knew what he was doing when he was creating the menu for Miami Spice. He will be serving guests Tuna Lomi Lomi with shaved red onions, tomato, coconut milk; Idaho Rainbow Trout bay scallop & chorizo vinaigrette, potato emulsion; and a Key Lime Mousse graham crumble, torched meringue.

Bulla Gastrobar

These guys are offering things like their Huevos Rotos con Costilla, a jumbo egg, homemade potato chips, braised short ribs, potato foam; Solomillo de Res y Polenta, grilled filet mignon, mushrooms, polenta fries; Flan de Queso, homemade cheese flan, strawberry sorbet. Plus, you can add on $10 for two glasses of any sangria.
